Senior Spotlight: Zac Morrow, Class of 2023
In what grade did you start attending Faith?
4th Grade
What activities were you involved in while you were a student at Faith?
I have been involved in Archery, Cross Country, SGA, Hi-Y, Sodalitas (Latin Club), Fides, and I have served as a Project Faith Student Manager for three years.
What might some of your favorite memories be?
My favorite memories are of River Day and Retreat. At River Day, we can relax and escape the stress of school for a day while convening with friends. At Retreat, we spent the night at the Preserve at Crooked Run and fellowshipped with each other and had a lot of fun on the lake and in the pool.
What is your thesis topic and why did you choose it?
My thesis is on why electric cars are not ready for mass adoption. I have enjoyed cars and vehicles since I was young and so I picked the topic due to its prevalence in mainstream media and how much I care about it.
What do you feel have been some of the academic benefits of attending Faith Christian School?
Writing papers is far easier. I find myself exceeding above my peers outside school in my ability to problem solve and think through things.
Has there been a teacher at FCS that has impacted your faith, education, or personal growth in a significant way? If you were to say thank you to this person, what might you say?
Mrs. Knight – thank you for putting up with me and my continual tardiness. I really enjoyed your class throughout my junior year and am thankful for all the times you forgave me for many of my mistakes and immaturity.
What are some things you would like to tell younger students as they continue their education at FCS?
The ability to problem-solve and think may not seem any different than it is at public schools, but I assure you, the difference is very notable as you get older and mature. I am grateful for the many teachers who have pushed me to better myself and my character.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I plan to attend Virginia Western Community College and transfer to Virginia Tech and pursue Computer Engineering as a career.
