Meet the Underwood Family: Lauren, Jess, and Lilly (JK), who chose Faith Christian School because of the classical education approach and warm family atmosphere.
Tell us about your family! What kinds of activities or hobbies do you enjoy together?
We all love music, so we enjoy listening to records, singing and dancing. Well, Lilly sings. I, on the other hand, TRY to sing. We also enjoy reading, drawing, coloring, and crafting together. Last, but definitely not least, we truly love just about any outdoor activity, especially if it involves water!
How did you hear about our school?
Lilly’s grandfather—Victor Baranauskas (better known as Paw) is the one who informed us. He found Faith Christian School by searching for the best Christian school in our area.
Was there anything in particular that influenced your decision to become a part of the FCS community?
We were really intrigued by the classical education approach to learning combined with Christianity. During our tour with Cathi, we were very happy to hear they still teach cursive writing and impressed that students start theatre and Latin in the 3rd and 4th grades. All that combined with the warm welcoming family atmosphere just felt right.
What are you most excited about in beginning the school year as a part of the FCS family?
We are most excited to be part of a community that shares the same values as we do. We are also looking forward to seeing the curriculum and programs in action as well as the new skills and interests Lilly develops.
