Meet Our Teachers: Ali Pendleton

I have been a believer since childhood and rededicated my life to Christ in college. While teaching fifth grade in a Roanoke County school, I felt God leading me to leave in 2008 but wasn't certain why. At that same time, I found out Faith Christian School had a 5th grade opening. It soon became clear that God was leading me here.

What post-secondary schools did you attend? Degrees held?

Radford University with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in English

Have you taught or been involved in schools somewhere else prior to FCS? If so, where, and how long?

I taught in Roanoke County Schools for 10 years prior to Faith Christian School.

What are your hobbies or things you enjoy outside of the school?

We enjoy traveling, especially to quaint, historic towns.

What or who inspired you to work in education?

My own elementary experience at Mountain View Elementary in Roanoke County

What do you find most compelling or distinct about Christian classical education?

What do you find most compelling or distinct about Christian classical education

To be able to convince everyone that what the Bible says is true.
