I was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I am married, have five grown children, and five grandchildren (with hopes of several more). I taught at FCS from 2016 to 2021, and I also taught for North Carolina Schools and Henry Ford Community College.
What post-secondary schools did you attend? Degrees held?
I attended Western Michigan University (BBA - Business & Statistics), Wayne State University (MBA - Finance), and Mercer University (Masters of Education - Mathematics).
What are your hobbies or things you enjoy outside of the school?
Family, church, and community outreach keep me plenty busy.
What or who inspired you to work in education?
Teachers who did not promote algorithms, steps, and procedures, but dove deep into the fundamentals.
What do you find most compelling or distinct about Christian classical education?
FCS attempts to teach students how to think, as opposed to what to think.
