Meet the Marion Family who chose FCS because of the classical education component, but most of all because of relationships that are integral to our mission.
Tell us about your family! What kinds of activities or hobbies do you enjoy together?
We spend a lot of our weekends down in North Carolina visiting our families, but if we are in town you can usually find us out at a playground or eating tacos! We have 3 boys, Ryder who is in JK, and then we have Asher who is 3, and Davis who is 5 months. When we are at home, our Goldendoodle Ginger keeps us all on the go.
How did you hear about our school?
We drive past Faith Christian School quite frequently due to where to live, so when we moved to Roanoke in 2017 we were curious about the school. Garrett had a private Christian education growing up, so even though we did not have children yet, we looked into FCS. Fast forward to this past winter, we finally toured the school and instantly knew it was the perfect fit for our family.
Was there anything in particular that influenced your decision to become a part of the FCS community?
We loved the classical education component, but most of all how relationships were such an integral part of FCS mission.
What are you most excited about in beginning the school year as a part of the FCS family?
We are just so excited for Ryder, for him to continue to grow in his faith, to build new friendships, and to grow in his learning.
