“I love that we are giving students the tools and practice to learn to think for themselves amid the world we live in.”
- Maria Pugh, JK Teacher
I was born and raised in Roanoke. I attended Virginia Tech, then came right back to get married and rediscover the city. I have been married to Spencer for five years and have a two-year-old daughter named Lina. She is phenomenal and the light of my life!
I adore education and watching students' brains beautifully develop. I adore teaching, but after teaching in a public school setting for five years, I prayed about a possible change. The Lord introduced me to FCS and made beautiful connections in my life to lead me here. I am so thankful to be at a school where I get to teach children in a classical Christian setting, letting everything revolve around the truth of God's holy word.
