In what grade did you start attending Faith?

I started attending Faith Christian School in Kindergarten.

What activities were you involved in while you were a student at Faith?

In my high school career, I have had opportunities to join various clubs, such as Hi-Y, Key Club, Veritas Honor Society, Project Faith Student Manager, and Sodalitas (Latin Club).  These clubs encourage fellowship and learning with one another. In addition to the clubs, I have played volleyball, soccer, and golf.

What might some of your favorite memories be?

Some of my favorite memories from Faith Christian School would be Lower School field trips to Center in the Square and the Valentine’s Day parties with all my friends. In the Middle and Upper School, I have greatly enjoyed River Day and Fall Retreat.

What is your thesis topic and why did you choose it?

My thesis topic is a response to materialistic, reductionistic claims of the human person and disbelief in the soul. I chose this topic because it combines my love for both philosophy and science.

What do you feel have been some of the academic benefits of attending Faith Christian School?

Faith Christian School has taught me how to write and speak persuasively using the art of rhetoric. I feel as though the rigor of the curriculum has prepared me well for college.

Has there been a teacher at FCS that has impacted your faith, education, or personal growth in a significant way? If you were to say thank you to this person, what might you say?

To all my teachers, thank you for being not only a true Godly role model, but a great friend and someone I can always go to. You truly embody Christ and so easily lavish love and grace on those around you.

What are some things you would like to tell younger students as they continue their education at FCS?

Though it sounds cliché, I would say never give up and strive for your best. I know in the short term, the work at hand appears to be tedious and difficult, but the long-term effects are certainly worth the temporary struggle. You will feel proud of what you have accomplished.

What are your plans for after graduation?

I plan to attend Longwood University where I will major in Biological Sciences with a concentration in pre-medical requisites.
