In what grade did you start attending Faith?
I started attending Faith Christian School in Kindergarten.
What activities were you involved in while you were a student at Faith?
I was involved in basketball, soccer, and golf. I was also a member of Veritas and served as a Project Faith Student Manager and student ambassador.
What might some of your favorite memories be?
My favorite memory was wrapping Mr. Virgin’s office in wrapping paper.
What is your thesis topic and why did you choose it?
My thesis topic is Defending the Classroom: The Case for Concealed Carry on College Campuses. I chose this topic because I am concerned about classroom safety in schools.
How has learning in a Christian environment at FCS positively affected your education?
I have been influenced by a good Christian community at FCS that has helped me thrive.
What are some things you would like to tell younger students as they continue their education at FCS?
I would tell younger students to enjoy their friends in their classes because they will learn with them until they graduate.
Has there been a teacher at FCS that has impacted your faith, education, or personal growth in a significant way? If you were to say thank you to this person, what would you say?
Mr. Virgin has positively impacted my life by helping me choose what college study I want to pursue. I would tell him thank you for taking the time to sit down with me, not from a teacher’s perspective but from a friend’s.
What does it mean to be a classical and Christian school?
A classical and Christian school means that the students learn grammar, logic, and rhetoric through a Christian worldview.
What is one thing you would like to tell younger students as they continue their education at FCS?
I would tell younger students to enjoy their friends in their classes because they will learn with them until they graduate.
What are your plans for after graduation?
My plans after high school are to pursue soccer and my academic career at Randolph-Macon College.
