“My main inspiration is the theologian R.C. Sproul. Shortly after graduating from college, I started to listen to his teachings and was captivated by the simple and profound way that he taught. It inspired me to begin my education journey.” - Timothy Fraser

What post-secondary schools did you attend? Degrees held?

Liberty University (graduated 2014), Bachelor of Science in Worship and Music Studies: Worship Leadership

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (graduated 2021): Master of Arts in Christian Education

Have you taught or been involved in schools somewhere else prior to FCS? If so, where, and how long?

I previously taught at Commission Leadership Academy (CLA) in Youngsville, NC, for 3 years (2021-2023 and 2025-2026). I taught grades 7th -12th in Latin, History, Bible, Informal Logic, Hermeneutics, Worldview, and Geography.

What are your hobbies or things you enjoy outside of the school?

I am an avid US Civil War history buff, I enjoy board games, I love anything Star Wars, and I faithfully follow my favorite sports teams (St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams).

What or who inspired you to work in education?

My main inspiration is the theologian R.C. Sproul. Shortly after graduating from college, I started to listen to his teachings and was captivated by the simple and profound way that he taught. It inspired me to begin my education journey. My second inspiration is my mother. She homeschooled my brother and me using a classical curriculum. I would not have a love for teaching and classical education without her influence.

What's your favorite book you've read?

Doxology and Theology by Matt Boswell and The Killer Angels: A Novel of the Civil War by Michael Shaara

How many books do you have stacked on your bedside table or in your "To Read" pile?

To be honest, too many. (On the Bondage of the Will by Martin Luther, The Freedom of the Will by Jonathan Edwards, and Canoeing the Mountains: Christian Leadership in Uncharted Territory by Tod Bolsinger, to name a few)

What do you find most compelling or distinct about Christian classical education?

What I find most distinctive about Christian classical education is how subjects are integrated. Integration of subject matters is not only desired; it is encouraged. For example, when teaching Latin in a Christian classical setting, the teacher can integrate teachings about history, Bible, theology, grammar, English, and literature into all lessons. Very rarely are subjects integrated like this in schools that are neither Christian nor classical.

What do you love about the idea of teaching at Faith Christian School or what do you anticipate appreciating most about Faith Christian School?

What I am anticipating appreciating most about Faith Christian School is the joy I will experience in teaching younger students than I have previously taught to enjoy and appreciate Latin.

If you have a "life verse" or a verse that is ministering to you right now, what might it be?

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. – Ephesians 2:4-6

If you have a personal life’s mission statement, what is it?

My personal life’s mission statement is best summarized by the first question and answer found in the Westminster Shorter Catechism. What is the chief end of man? Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.
