In what grade did you start attending Faith?

Kindergarten

What activities were you involved in while you were a student at Faith?

I have been involved in many different sports: basketball, soccer, golf, and volleyball. I have been involved in SGA (Student Government Association), serving as a class representative twice and parliamentarian this year. I am also the Vice President of La Mesa (Spanish Club) and served as a Project Faith Student Manager for three years.

What might some of your favorite memories be?

One of my favorite memories was the senior retreat this year. I felt like I was able to connect deeper with my class on a more spiritual level.

What is your thesis topic and why did you choose it?

My thesis topic is Homelessness. I chose this topic because as I looked around Roanoke, I saw that the changes needed are not happening.

What do you feel have been some of the academic benefits of attending Faith Christian School?

I feel like taking classes such as rhetoric and logic really prepared me for not only articulating myself well but being able to create clear, logical arguments.

Has there been a teacher at FCS that has impacted your faith, education, or personal growth in a significant way? If you were to say thank you to this person, what might you say?

I would say thank you to Mr. Virgin because he has truly helped me come outside my comfort zone with my writing. He has taught me how to embody Christ better.

What are some things you would like to tell younger students as they continue their education at FCS?

I would tell a younger student at FCS to truly become involved and to try new things. Going outside of one’s comfort zone is so important to becoming a well-rounded student and making an impact on the school.

What are your plans for after graduation?

I am attending Virginia Tech. My current major is Forestry, but I am excited to explore different studies as well.
